Kids Classes
Our classes range from acting on stage to acting for the camera for kids and adults ranging in ages 3 & up.
Ages 3 -5
Creative Dramatics - Level 1
During this 8 week course we will be introduced to the world of drama and imagination while we identify and reveal emotion.
Ages 6 - 19
Acting: Stage and Screen Basics - Level 1
This 8 week course focuses on the fundamentals of acting for the stage and the screen. We explore the business side of acting, while we rehearse for auditions, and explore commercials and scene study. We also present our material at the end of the 8 week course.
Improv Fundamentals - Level 1
Improv skills are essential for any actor! Improv helps actor’s scenes become more believable and realistic since the rules of improve also helps actors to think quickly on their feet, and adds charm because students explore spontaneity. There is a live performance at end.
Scene Study - Level 2
Let’s rehearse and study scenes from various mediums: TV, Film, Commercials, and Theater. We will breakdown text, continue to utilize our improv skills, simulate auditions, and continue to self evaluate our development as people and actors.
Commercial Production - Level 2
This fast paced class attracts the best of the best in kid creative. Students learn how to write, act and direct real commercial productions. Charisma and Blank Stage work hand in hand inviting local businesses to represent real potential production work. (Limit:8) * Pre-requisite: Audition/ Interview
Audition/Monologues: Stage and Screen - Level 2
In this 8 week course we will break down text and use emotion to prepare for auditions. Whether the auditions be cold read, improvised, or prepared and we will work on 2 monologues for the stage and one for the screen. To conclude, we will present two contrasting monologues live and 1 on the big screen!
Play Performance - All Levels
We utilize or small plays in our after-school program and our weekly classes. We play theatre games, work on creating characters, utilize teamwork, enhance our creativity and have fun! We meet for 12 weeks and put on a live theatre performance.
Acting Aerobics: Stage and Screen - Level 3
On-going acting course. We put it all together. Class is geared towards conditioning the actor on an advanced level.
Improv 2: Ongoing Workshop - Level 2
This ongoing class will help strengthen your improv skills by exploring character development, further in depth with improv fundamentals and more complicated games. Performances will happen every 8 weeks.
