At Charisma Studios we give our acting interns the opportunity to work in our acting studio through hands on experience working on daily operations ranging from marketing to networking to assisting teachers to administration. Internships require a commitment to 10-12 weeks, depending on the time of year.
Internship Duties (duties vary, but typically include)
Acting Class
· attending class regularly
· being a positive role model
· being a team player
· assisting teacher if needed
Marketing
· distributing flyers, brochures, signs
· calling existing students and/or existing prospects for follow up
· attending marketing and brainstorm meetings
· attend networking meetings and events
· updating Charisma Facebook pages
Teaching Assistant
· Helping with check-in
· Setting up chairs and classroom
· Helping with equipment handling – pausing. Start/stopping the camera
· Helping students with line learning, script handling, improv
· Assisting coach with making copies, handouts distribution, etc.
· Distributing updates to students by phone or email if needed
Administration
· Data entry
· Helping proofing, designing, and creating handouts, newsletters, agendas
· Meeting notes
· Manning database
· Organizing paperwork
Internship Requirements:
· Intern must have a passion for acting.
· Intern must have reliable transportation.
· Intern must have internet access.
· Intern’s schedule must allow up to 20 hours per week to dedicate to Charisma Studios. (There is some flexibility with scheduled working hours.)
Internship Benefits:
· Intern will get compensated for referring students.
· Intern will take a Charisma Studios 12 week course, and are welcomed to participate in Charisma workshops at a discounted rate during his or her term.
· Intern will receive a complimentary acting coaching sessions from Founding Director, Karli G. Brooks.
· Intern will make new friends and lifetime relationships with industry professionals.
